Rise Against Hunger

Rise Against Hunger

(formerly Stop Hunger Now)

Stop Hunger Now created its meal packaging program, in 2005.

The program perfected the assembly process that combines rice, soy, dehydrated vegetables and a flavoring mix including 21 essential vitamins and minerals into small meal packets. Each meal costs only 25 cents to create, and each  package contains six meals. The food stores easily, has a shelf-life of two years and transports quickly.

More than 6000,000 volunteer hours have been donated to this program since its inception.

More than 85,000,000 meals have been packaged since its inception.

If you would like to contribute to this project, you may do so by writing a check to Stop Hunger Now, or placing a donation in the collection plates on Sunday morning.
